Throughout her career, Maryam has worked across a range of clinical and diagnostic settings, gaining extensive experience in patient care, medical imaging, pathology, laboratory science, and clinical coordination. Her professional journey includes working in Nuclear Medicine Departments, where she gained valuable experience in specialised medical imaging environments, as well as working alongside highly respected and experienced medical specialists in the field of bone densitometry and metabolic bone health.

Education and Professional Qualifications

Maryam holds a Bachelor of Science (Human Biology) from Macquarie University and a Graduate Certificate of Science, specialising in Molecular Biology, from the University of Southern Queensland.

She is currently undertaking a Master of Human Nutrition at Deakin University, further expanding her knowledge of human metabolism, nutritional science, metabolic health, and the relationship between nutrition, body composition, and long-term health. This ongoing education reflects her commitment to integrating scientific knowledge with advanced diagnostic assessments to support preventative healthcare and healthy ageing.

She has undertaken specialised clinical training in bone densitometry through the Australian and New Zealand Bone and Mineral Society (ANZBMS) and is a member of ANZBMS, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional development and maintaining high standards in bone health assessment.

Maryam has also completed specialised training in Body Composition Analysis through the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD), further strengthening her expertise in DEXA-based assessment of body fat, lean muscle mass, and body composition.

Having worked alongside highly qualified and experienced doctors and specialists in bone densitometry, she has gained valuable clinical knowledge and an appreciation for the importance of precision, consistency, and reliability in diagnostic imaging.
